I have a confession to make. I kind of have a thing for those little stickers that you find on some fruits and veggies. Don't ask me why. I don't know why. All I know is that I like to pull them off and put them places. Like all of them in one place, a place that no one can see but me. You might think that's strange, but I love it. Looking at these stickers, I clearly have a favorite...
Now to bring you up to speed on a couple of things:
The CSA with Brookwood Community Farm has been going really great so far. The produce has been fantastic and it's yielded some of the best spinach I've ever had. Taut, leafy greens that are crisp and fresh. I haven't had to buy much produce from the grocery store lately and it feels good to know that I'm getting a piece of an organic, locally grown harvest. I'm looking forward the remaining weeks and am seriously considering buying into the summer share. Maybe even the fall!
They hosted a pancake breakfast this past weekend that and it's so refreshing to eat outside. Something about being surrounded by fresh air makes food taste that much better.
Pussy Brew is also coming along nicely. Two batches are bottled, one is fermenting, and hopefully another one will be conceived within the next week. It's been a very stimulating and fulfilling process and we actually got to taste our first batch last week. What a success it was!! I would actually buy that beer in a bar, no sending it back, no thinking "I won't be ordering this beer ever again!!" We are very excited to unveil it at our Backyard BBQ in a few weeks.
